Street Conditions Move Council at Regular Meeting
Street conditions and problems absorbed council attention at a regular meeting. Officials discussed mausoleum site approval and a $1000 contract with American Construction Co. to erect the structure on cemetery grounds. Drainage, catch basins, and street repairs on East Superior, East Walnut, and Marshal were ordered with surveys to follow, and a sidewalways grade adjustment on Sycamore was approved. An engineer reported sewer lines inaccessible under street pavement and profile maps were to be reviewed. A claim ordinance passed and the meeting adjourned. Separately, D W Myers sold Hinman milking machines totaling $5600 in four days, signaling Wauseon’s growing place in milking equipment sales.
