Water Bond Victory Brings Wausion Vote Split Result

Destructive Fire Destroys Two Barns in Early Morning

In Hinze, near L. W. Arnold and George Heath, a fire at about 5 o'clock destroyed barns and contents, with partial insurance covering some items. Heath saved some contents and auto. Arnold's stock and furniture were lost. Wind was light, aiding containment. Nearby homes narrowly escaped. County Grange meeting set for May 24 with Jerry Grape as host, program includes farm legislation, market issues, and a literary box.

Athletic Meet and Oratorical Contest at Williams Patton

The Williams Patton Athletic Association hosts the annual track and field meet and oratorical contest. County Home Naming Law Moves In Ohio Counties

The General Assembly passed House Bill No. 155 approving reclassifying county infirmaries as County Homes. Governors Cox signed, effective 90 days after approval. Counties must display the new name within 60 days and remove old signage. Ottokee remarks reflect habit change from infirmary to County Home.
