Late Ohio farmer LeRoy Whittecar dies at 70

Obituary notes LeRoy Whittecar born September 8 1848 near London Ohio. He lived on Fulton County farms most of his life except two years in California and one in Wisconsin. He married Mary Jane Somers Stoner then Florence M. Fenton, has one son and two brothers. Funeral services held at Ottokee church with prayers for comfort for family.

Ohio Health Protection Bill to cut disease deaths in 1920

Water Meeting Discusses Wauseon Water Supply

About one hundred residents attended the Water Meeting at the Court House on Friday evening to examine the water supply situation in Wauseon. Mr Charles Grisier chaired and W S Sherman of Toledo detailed the survey and the engineer's Turkeyfoot Reservoir proposal. The meeting reviewed plans, funding, and the bond issue of 17000 to fund the project, with emphasis on evaluating the need for a new system and the impact on local business and growth. A citizens meeting is set for next Wednesday evening at Roeck Court House to ask questions and share views.

Wauseon Grade School Choir Dazzles In Annual Program

The crowded High School assembly heard all grades from toddlers to eighth in a musical program under Miss Hewn Hartman. Violin solos by Theodore Taxin and Horton Hish drew praise, and the War pageant impressed with child performers.

Rev Ralph W Stoody a former Army chaplain candidate who served with the American Expeditionary Forces preached at the Methodist Church last Sunday and was named acting pastor during Rev G B Wiltsie’s absence. He is an Ohio Wesleyan graduate who studied theology before the war. Mrs Stoody is the daughter of Rev Genneut, former pastor of the Napoleny Methodist Church.

Mable Marie Cammarn Dies After Illness at 19

Mable Marie Cammarn daughter of Ellis and Artie Funk born near Wauseon August 3 1599 died April 1919 aged 19 years 6 months 21 days. She joined the Christian church early in life and attended Sunday school. She married Chas. E. Brindley in 1917 and lived in Swanton Belleville and other towns. Funeral services were held at the Christian church with burial in Wauseon cemetery, leaving husband a sister and a nephew among many relatives and friends.
