Beautiful life ends for Lyons minister Martha A Moore

Martha A Moore died March 25 1916 in Lyons Ohio at age 72 after a life of service as a Universalist minister. She married Thomas H Moore in 1869 and survived by three sons two sisters and many relatives. Funeral at Congregational Church in Wause on Wednesday.

Benefit basketball games draw fair crowd at courthouse event

A benefit for the hospital drew a fair crowd despite bad weather. The first game, eigth grade versus Freshmen, ended 18-4. Post Office versus Court House battled hard, with disputed scoring near the end. High School beat Tedrow 41-13. Gross receipts totaled 51.55.
