Extension School in Fulton County Wauseon 1916

Fulton County Extension School at Wauseon runs February 8 to 11 with separate charges for Agriculture and Home Economics. Lectures cover soil fertilization, dairy farming, alfalfa, crop rotation, cattle breeding, water in farm homes, and pantry planning. Metamora Man Loses Leg After Severe Frost Injury

Michael McCoy, about seventy, of Metamora, was taken to Wauseon Hospital after his right foot froze during a cold spell. Doctors amputated above the knee due to gangrene to save his life. He lived alone, had no known relatives, and was a former Civil War veteran and skilled stone mason. Sheriff candidate W S Boone announces on the Republican ticket for August 8, 1916, with prior service as deputy sheriff noted.
