Grand Army Installations and Woman’s Relief Corps Officers Installed

Last Saturday afternoon at the Grand Army Hall Comrade James King installed Losure Post officers in two stations. G A R officers named include Commander J. Hoffman Jr Adjutant Daniel Miller Surgeon TD Foster and others. Frances Funk acted as installing officer for the Women’s Relief Corps with several members listed and music by the Turnbull Brothers. The event was followed by a New Year gathering at J M Barnes home with a large dinner and music. Advertisements note work shoes and boys suits.

Civil War Veterans Pensions Increased Meet at Fulton Grange

Fulton Grange held its regular meeting with Cor Fulton and C J Thompson present. The bill increases pensions for Civil War veterans to up to 72 per month for many cases, with wider eligibility and added dependents. Business Men of Wauseon Organize Commerce Club

The Waumunity interests group in Wauseon reorganized as the Commerce Club at a recent meeting. Officers were elected: President F. J. Spencer, Vice President P. H. Reighard, Secretary A. E. Harger, Treasurer W. B. Harris Pell. The club emerged from the Wausion Boosters Club and aims to unite residents for town progress, wartime service memory, and county fundraising drives for Jewish and Near East relief. A mass meeting is planned January 25 to coordinate county drives and community action.
