Burials in Wauseon Cemeteries in 1914

The 1914 burial list from Wauseon cemeteries, supplied by Sexton Ed Mikesell, shows 59 total burials. Sixty six occurred in Wauseon Cemetery and three in St Caspar Catholic Cemetery. The oldest buried was 89, with two victims of that age. nine aged 80 or more. eight between 70 and 79. seventeen aged 50 to 69. fourteen between 20 and 49. three under 20 and six infants from 2 years to 12 hours old.

The first meeting of the year 1916 was held last Monday evening with two councilmen absent. Citizens pressed sewer petitions on South Super and Main Streets, urging immediate investigation. J Q Files and F S Ham represented landowners and the Wabash Railroad with protest against assessments. discussion led to adjourning for a later meeting on the 11th. The Mayor named R B Darby as city solicitor and James E Cantlebury as health officer.
