Pioneer Gone: John U Funkhouser Dies at Ridgeville Corners

Obituary for John U Funkhouser who died at home in Ridgeville Corners January 30 after forty four years on a German Township farm. Born December 27 1835 in Canton Barneid he came to America at 13 in 1853. He helped build the county from forest days to modern farms and church work.
