Lawrence Perry topped Fulton County corn growers after a record harvest of 96 pounds and 40 ounces per acre, earning the honor and a Washington trip described as the trip of his life. Despite poor growing conditions, Perry’s effort and planning earned statewide recognition and the admiration of county peers.
Last week the Fife Brothers closed their Delta revival at the tabernacle and head to the town for a week long revival in the Christian church. Evangelist Mrs Brooks drew over 1000 listeners in a strong address on The Most Charming Woman in the World and attendees anticipate one of the town’s top revivals with crowd estimates and related events.
Auditing committee reports are examined and find Secretary and Treasurer accounts correct. Summary shows total orders paid 7303.25, cash on hand Dec 5 1913 14.82, receipts 3526.76, grandstand tickets 518.25, and 1913 revival events proceeds with Fife family performances.
Archbold Ltd hosts planning session as Williams Fulton AA plan a second annual track meet and oratorical contest. Representatives from several high schools in two counties draft event format to be held in Wauseon on Friday May 8 1914. Officers elected include Press Alstetter Walter Brown Rome Austin and more. Five candidates compete for advancement to the second Knights of Pibing next Tuesday December 28 1916.

They reported improvements at the infirmary including heating and electricity, suggested proper sewerage, and noted the jail and lockups remained neat and well cared for.
