A letter to Mrs Ed Springer recounts Brigham's success in bagging an eleven foot alligator near Windermere. The account notes the animal being restrained with a rope around its head and a horse used in the capture.
A Methodist church in Wauseon reports fifty new members after special evangelistic services led by Pastor C. W. Hoffman with church backing. The event followed three weeks of meetings that enriched church life, with renewed Sunday School and Epworth League growth, and plans for a Church Going Campaign in April and May.
A large Fulton county rally crowded the court room with about 700 attendees, openly unifying Republicans to back party principles and oppose a machine-dominated administration. Speakers including Fred H. Wolf, C. L. Allen, Frank B. Willis, and H. C. Turner stressed unity, reform, and electing a Republican victory in November. Saturday featured committee reports and officer election previews with Bowling Green Ohio as the meeting site.

A Republican mass meeting for Ohio's Fifth Congressional District will be held in Wauseon Fulton County on April 28 1914 at 11 a m. The event aims to defeat the state administration and build a political machine. Invited speakers include F Willis D Mead Massie Ralph D Cole and Holland Webster. Temporary chairman A L Gebhard and toastmaster W W Camp will preside with a luncheon served at noon.
