Why Increase R R Fares The 2 Percent Bill Debate
O J Thatcher, author of a 2% fare bill, argues Republicans must pass the measure as a prosperity move. Lima workers cite idle labor, railroads’ financial struggles, and declining demand, urging higher fares to restore work. Ohio has about 200,000 idle workers, with broader effects on vendors and farmers. the key issue is restoring the dinner pail before the 1916 election.
