Beethoven and the blind girl in a moonlit piano tale
In Bonn an old musician recounts meeting Beethoven who, impoverished yet passionate, visited a poor blind girl and her brother. Beethoven improvised a moonlit sonata after hearing the girl play from memory, then promised to return but never did, a moment remembered as a fleeting, poignant encounter with genius.
