Fromont Journal reports Tiffin district delegates
The Ninth Congressional District convention at Tiffin chose Eant But of Seneca County and D. W. Swream of Crawford County as delegates to the Chicago National Convention. Fremont Republican Convention named delegates to Tiffin and the State Convention, with P. C. Drax as chair and M. E. Tru an as secretary. Fer ment meetings debated Fort Stephenson purchase and tax options. The Ohio Supreme Court ruled on voting rights for those with mixed African ancestry, holding some qualified to vote.
