Stephenson County Bible Society Annual Meeting Report
The Stephenson County Bible Society held its annual meeting at First Presbyterian church on a rainy last Sunday evening. Rev Steffen of Silver Creek gave an excellent address on the Bible’s work for humanity, with county officers delivering creditable reports and receipts showing strong support from farmers. the society supplied destitute families and placed a Bible in every Iowa Division car of the Illinois Central Railroad. Also noted is the sale of Biffeld’s jewelry business to Dennison, with Fifield planning to leave. advertisements indicate new business opposite Soldiers’ Monument run by Fifield and Brainard, successors to A Carlipp & Bro.
