A rustic tale recounts three daughters Karen Maren Metty. Metty’s stubbornness earns her the nickname the most disagreeable. After two marriages for the elder girls, Metty finds a distant suitor. Their wedding unfolds with odd manners and a dog, a gun, and a disobedient horse. Metty vows never to contradict again, and the story follows their cautious travels to Metty’s parents and a sequence of mistaken observations.
