Festival at Opera House by First Presbyterian Church Ladies
The First Presbyterian Church ladies and congregation plan a Friday evening festival at the Opera House on June 18. They will present tableaux of scenes from the era of 1776 in olden time costumes, sing, and offer music and refreshments. Admission to the hall is 10 cents.

The Stephenson County Association of Teachers held its third meeting in Freeport High School on June 12 1875 led by President C W Moore. The session featured map drawing by Miss Risley primary teaching tips from Supt E L Wells of Ogle County and talks on arithmetic geography and sentence making. The next gathering was slated for Lena on Oct 2 with plans for a programme and thanks extended to Supt Wells Prof Piper and the School Board for their support.
