Bonanza Crashes as Stock Demands Return Unfold
A satirical note on a Muscatine mining stock scheme titled The Colorado Co operative Prospectiv e and Mining Company. The piece ridicules the caused loss of wealth and the ill fated advertising plan while recounting a demand to return stock valued at forty dollars per share and the author’s uneasy response. It mentions the Fifty shares, the President, and references to Poru Wheat and Chillian Potatoes with a closing cartoonish quip about the devil’s realm.
