Stephenson County Agricultural Society Faces Grounds Reforms
At the December 8 1874 annual meeting in the Court House the Stephenson County Agricultural Society reports 1861 issued shares 6806 dollars in stock outstanding receipts 883 shares and 239 shares yet to be issued totaling 1195. The total indebtedness stands at 1699 13 with a projected surplus 52 87. Receipts for fall 1874 were 2113 56 and total year receipts 5721 14 with disbursements matching 5721 14. A 2000 improvement expenditure is proposed for the grounds including new buildings fence and office. The board may sell stock to fund improvements.
