Debates Turned Muted During Plum Creek Eviction Clash
In Pittsburg on Sept 10 deputies returned to Plum Creek and Clarksville to evict two strikers families at DeArmit houses. A mob of local women armed with bats compelled the families back inside after the deputies left. De Armit and deputies reissued the eviction with a large attendance of strikers. Uriah Billingham argued with De Armit over accusations and a tense exchange followed.
