Spelter production totaled 186702 short tons valued at 18670200, up from 1903. Admiral Train Victims of Chinese Attack Near Nanking

Brother Rothermel Dies in Dallas and is Buried in Freeport
Charles T. Rothermel 64 a former Freeport resident and brother of Arthur Rothermel of Wright & Co shoe store died Friday in Dallas Texas. Remains reached Freeport today and burial is set for tomorrow at 1 30 pm at the city cemetery with private services conducted by Rev H L Moore. He had been state agent for Traders Insurance Chicago eight years after a career with Winneshiek Insurance and C N W freight works. Survived by sisters Mrs Joseph Brown Ipswich SD Mrs J R Young Dakota WI and S A Rothermel Oak Park and brothers William Chicago and Arthur Freeport. Pallbearers named.

Golden Wedding Observed Sunday in Freeport
Mr and Mrs John Schoeffel marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary in Freeport surrounded by children grandchildren and friends. The couple married October 28 1855 in Aurora and moved to Freeport in 1856 where they became respected German pioneers. John born September 22 1822 Bavaria arrived in 1853 and baked in Aurora before relocating to Freeport. Anna Marie Lahner born March 2 1829 Bavaria joined him in 1853 after living in Cleveland. They have four children and nine grandchildren. The celebration followed a dinner at their Union Street South Galena Avenue home and included references to their long religious and community involvement. The note concludes announcing the Wheeler thirtieth anniversary in Washington Street with a page continuation.
