Washington October 21 Special. By physician advice Admiral Dewey has cancelled his planned visits to Philadelphia and Atlanta and will accept no further invitations. A statement from his office says the mental strain of such engagements seriously affects his health.

Deaths of Willie Caldwell and C.A. Clement

Obituary notes the death of Willie Caldwell sixteen, from kidney trouble at his grandmother’s home in Lena. Born Freeport May 7, 1883, he attended school and was in good health before a brief illness. his parents are abroad, and funeral details are listed. The second obituary reports C A Clement of Lena, son of William Clement, died in Ontario California of lung hemorrhage at about 28. he had worked for Marshall Field in Chicago, then California, survived by wife and father, body to be brought home for burial.
