Death Summoned John Baltzer
John Baltzer died this morning at 4:20 at St. Frances hospital after a short illness of congestion of the lungs. He came to Freeport in 1891 and worked at Frank Furry meat market, opened a shop, then joined Hunkemeier & Schwarze before his hospital stay. Born January 1864 in Johnstown Pa he moved to Orangeville as a child and later to Freeport. He married Emma Bear in Freeport on October 18, 1881. He is survived by his wife Geneva, a daughter, four sisters and three brothers. Funeral will be held in Orangeville Friday morning, time to be announced.
