Miners Demand Eight Hours at Ishpeming Mine

In Ishpeming Michigan on October 7 miners at the section 21 mine of the Lake Superior Iron company walked out demanding an eight hour day. The mine produces non-Bessemer Brade ore and stockpiles have been shipped leaving little chance of concession. About 185 men were employed.
