In Rockford on November 23 Judge Louison fined Dr F C Brooks ten dollars plus fifteen dollars eighty cents costs for failing to report a diphtheria case. The police court had heard the argument yesterday with a later decision. The physician had claimed the illness was tonsiling and not diphtheria, while two city witnesses testified they heard him say the patient Mamie Lundquist had diphtheria, six days before reporting.
