The dispatch notes partly cloudy tonight and Wednesday with warmer conditions in Illinois and Iowa. It adds generally fair skies tonight and Wednesday with warmer temperatures. Sunrise was at 6:48 a.m. and sunset at 4:41 p.m.
In Philadelphia on November 12 the United States mint delivered a million gold double eagles to the subtreasury. Officials said in the next three months the mint will coin fifty two million in double eagles as part of continued gold output. In New York the same date, it was noted that total gold movement from abroad stands at sixty million.
Luther B. Sanborn aged 78 longtime C. M. & St. Paul foreman died at 25 Clark avenue Freeport after a long illness heart trouble and other diseases. Native of Bristol New Hampshire he moved to Wisconsin in 1854 joined the Milwaukee road and held key shop foreman posts in Watertown Horicon and Freeport. He and wife Sarah Norris celebrated their golden wedding in August of last year. Surviving are wife two daughters and a son with several grandchildren. Funeral 2:30 p.m. Thursday from the family home with Rev H L Moore officiating. Interment Oakland.
Five people died in a hotel fire on the fifth floor of the Garde hotel in New Haven Connecticut this morning. Four hotel employees perished inside while a fifth man was killed while using a rope as a makeshift fire escape. Guests escaped unharmed.
Henry C. Wilder aged 95 and Esther Crawford aged 90 were wed last night in Lowell Massachusetts. The Associated Press reports the couple met and fell in love at first sight confirming a late life marriage in a quiet ceremony.
Greensburg Pennsylvania railroad special eastbound collided with a freight at Larimer early today. Three people were seriously hurt and a number others slighted in the crash near Greensburg.

Last evening Misses Detta Considine and Margaret Cox hosted a theatre party for the Comraderie club in honor of Miss Laura Killian who is to be married next Monday to see Madden. Guests then adjourned to Mrs. Dr Burns's home for a delightful lunch.
