The Crosby Transportation steamer Naomi was burned to the water’s edge early today on the Grand Haven to Milwaukee run. Fifty passengers and crew were saved by the Stratford and Kansas, four coal passengers perished. J. H. Rhodes of Detroit suffered severe burns and died later. The Naomi valued at about a quarter of a million dollars.
