Mrs. Minnie Koehler daughter of Bernard Huenkemeier of 162 Broadway Freeport died at 11 25 PM in Madison South Dakota where she had lived twenty years. She was born in Freeport about 32 years ago and leaves her father a brother and sister and nine children. Burial will be in Madison on Friday. Fred Stock dies in Chicago and remains brought to Freeport. He was a German born brass molder who worked in Chicago. survived by wife Emma Quist and a year old son Paul, with brothers in Ackley Chicago Heights and Freeport. Funeral Thursday at 2 PM from William Stock home 128 H Street. Interment in city cemetery.
Royal Arch Masons gathered for the annual conferring of the Royal Arch degree by Freeport Chapter past high priests. Attendees came from Lena, Shannon, Lanark and Warren as Charles F L Knecht presided, with J P Pair, M A Van Read, R D Nuehner and others performing key roles. The work showed high proficiency followed by a banquet directed by Jacob Billig of the Trov cafe.
