Stella Sinks After Collision In Dense Fog Near Alderney

Sputhampton March 31 Special. The steamer Stella carrying 210 Easter excursionists struck Casquet rocks in fog and foundered within ten minutes. About 120 drowned. two ships have brought 95 survivors. Upon impact, crew maintained order as lifeboats were filled with women and children first. The captain went down with the vessel.
