From Scioto Mills, June 24. A sizable local turnout attended last week’s Farmers picnic at Damascus with praise for speaking and music. J G Bennett and bride returned from the East with a pleasant report. Con Kelly is able to be out after a painful accident. The smallpox case at Benne tham lumber camp is recovering and quarantined workers may be released soon. Mrs G Springman entertained relatives from North Dakota. Dr W H Myers of Sheldon, Iowa, visited his sister Mrs Bennett. A church festival is planned at Eleroy Thursday evening. Harlem Center children’s exercises were sparsely attended due to rain. Thomas Hutmacher was in Rockford Saturday.
Everts June 24 report lists Mr and Mrs Will Schleich visiting John Schleich and family. Jacob Molter family left for Malta to visit daughter Mrs Frank Daily and relatives. Geo Dilly visited Aaron Long, John Scheffner and family guests of Adam Nix. Margaret Linder of Freeport visiting J J Molter.
