Peace Parliament Opens at The Hague in Second International Conference

The Hague June 14 The second International Peace Conference opened with forty six nations represented in Knights hall. United States delegates led by Joseph H Choate outlined plans including armament limits and debt collection. Other nations discussed arbitration rules laws of war and maritime conduct with debates over permanent conference status.

Eldorado School District to Celebrate Golden Anniversary

On Wednesday July 10 the Eldorado district east of Orangeville marks 50 years since its first teacher. Dr F W Byers now of Monroe will be honored among several speakers including Rev B Holloway of Da kota Superintendent Grove S T Pollock of Rice Lake Wis and C A Cadwell of Freeport Invitations go to all past and present teachers and attendees over the last fifty years. Seventy one teachers have served in the district. The gathering is expected to be large and enthusiastic.

Wood will address attendees. Amity Lutheran church will host Rev. Thrall of Freeport for morning and evening services. High School Alumni banquet held with about sixty attendees. Mrs. Kate Albee surprised by Methodist church members with gifts and a fine dinner. Mrs. Albee plans to leave for housekeeping Monday then west. Mrs. E J Collins and children depart for Sterling for a week. Mrs. G Rayhorn and Mrs. Geo Van Epps visiting friends. I C Buss relatives visited then returned to Chicago.
