Frank Vierrepont Graves Lr. D. has been instituted as president of the University of Washington in Seattle and is reported to be the youngest college president in America. Born in Brooklyn in 1869, he graduated from Columbia in 1890, taught Greek at Columbia, and later led Tufts as professor of classical philology before becoming Wyoming’s president in 1896. He authored Greek books and contributed to educational journals. He married Helen Hope Wadsworth in 1895.
