She escaped, sought police help, and Younger was arrested by Sergeant Harris and Officer Metagar. She later asked for his release, citing Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as the cause of his behavior. he may be re-arrested.
Edward L Mayer of Lancaster township near Freeport died last night around 10 due to rupture of a blood vessel from heavy lifting. Born December 8, 1882 in Stephen son county, he was survived by his mother Mrs Sarah Mayer seven sisters and three brothers. Funeral Thursday at 10:30 from Young's church with Rev Schallenger.

John Stewart, once of Winslow, convicted of burglary and larceny for robbing William Schrams store, faced a new trial motion and was sentenced by Judge Farrand to the penitentiary not less than one year nor more than twenty, with term determined by the board of pardons. his tale mixed defiance with hope for a later pardon as he awaited incarceration after years of idle wanderings and fish lore.
Mrs. A C Schwarze of 269 North Galena avenue suffered a deep head wound when she slipped on a slippery porch floor while emptying a water bucket.
