Savannah on Sept 17 reports the presidential party arriving at 11 a.m. greeted by a large crowd and escorted by the Georgia Hussars. The Seventh army corps units and thousands of enlisted men under General Keifer passed before the president. The day’s program included a river trip and a reception with a grand banquet and speeches by the president and cabinet members.

Southaston December 24 Special The American peace commissioners sailed for America today on the steamer St Louis Judge Day said the treaty of peace will probably be delivered to the president December 24 but it is unclear if it will be presented to the current or the next congress The president will decide this matter
In the North Sea the steamer Pierre Mont collided with the steamer Ilios. The Ilios foundered and the Pierremont was badly damaged. It is believed twenty persons were drowned.
The funeral for the late Calvin S. Brice was held at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York today. The body was then taken to Jersey City to be shipped to Lima, Ohio for interment.
London December 17 Special Baron Ferdinand James E Rothschild died He was the second son of the late Baron Alphonse de Rothschild and served as a member of parliament and the junior member of the Rothschilds of London and Paris Past and present roles are noted in this obituary style notice
