From Our Own Correspondent Davis reports Mrs. C Knoup suffered a bad accident slipping on a sidewalk in front of Mrs. Lizzie Rutter's home breaking both bones at the wrist. Funeral attendance includes Mr. and Mrs. Willis Lilfequist and Mrs. Charles Gift and Mrs. Langenstine of Freeport. John Lilfequist's Sunday school class gave him a party at Mrs. P. J. Degunther's on December 9 with a gift and fruit. The December grand jury adjourned. Davis temperance activity noted. Mutual telephone renters urged to pay before December 14, pay by the 5th monthly. T H Hollister of Freeport visits. candidate for representative on the Republican ticket. Cyrus Grove, county superintendent, visited Davis Tuesday.

From Our Own Correspondent Winnesheik Dec 9 The Mennonite church meetings drew large crowds with attendees from other state churches. The Winnesheik Sunday school was reorganized with R T Mitchell as superintendent J A Mitchell as assistant superintendent Miss Elta Mitchell secretary and treasurer Oscar Myers as treasurer and organist Hazel Mitchell. Local visits noted include Mrs R Brubaker and daughter Hazel from Freeport. Lizzie Smith and friend from Freeport visited, Sam Markel toured Chicago. Mrs J Mayer is seriously ill and Mrs F Smith is improving.
