The Illinois Fanciers' Association with 2000 capital was formed by E. D. Leland Harry Hepfer M. S. Nelson and G. W. Sword of Lanark and Freeport area poultrymen. Directors named from Freeport Lanark Dakota Shannon and Waukegan meet Friday to elect officers with H B Smith likely president G W Sword secretary and Harry Hepfer treasurer. The group aims to stage a major poultry show in Freeport next winter, leveraging stockholders who are veteran breeders.

The Democratic state convention adopted a platform reaffirming the Chicago platform. Marriage at Cottonwood Street for Andrew Layton and Cora Gray

Last night at the bride's home on Cottonwood street Andrew Layton married Miss Cora Gray at 8 pm in a ceremony conducted by Justice R. Keever. The bride wore green silk, bridesmaid carried white flowers and ferns, William Oswald served as best man, and Miss Mary Kappein attended the bride. Mrs Layton received wedding gifts as guests wished the couple a prosperous life.
