Pan Orry Aug 18 Letia was the mecca to which all roads lead Sunday. Our town was deserted and many churches had no services. Several residents moved, visited kin, or hosted guests while others suffered minor mishaps and a fatal case of nervous prostration marked the obituary. The Lena camp meeting drew crowds and camp weather was fine. Local names include Kinman, Mishler, Knapp, Hildreth, and M. Soper among many others.

Modern Othels With a Revolver Instead of a Pillow
In Englewood a jealous husband named Othello Collins shot his wife Alice at their Ada street cottage after she attended a picnic. He then shot himself in the head. both survived. Mrs Collins, 20, and Collins were taken to Englewood Union Hospital with non fatal wounds.

He is in custody at the Central station.

John J. Brough of Manchester Connecticut, age 45, a prominent merchant, has completed a year long trip around the world. He relied on a bicycle where feasible, covering about 60,000 miles with 40,000 by water, 12,000 on wheels, and the remainder by railroad across several countries. The journey was undertaken for pleasure.
