Abigail Dodge known as Gail Hamilton, famed author and biographer of James G Blaine, died after a paralytic shock at her home in Hamilton Massachusetts. Born 1830 in the same town she died, she pursued education at Ipswich academy and Hartford High School then taught at Hartford High School and served as a governess to Dr Gamaliel Bailey before contributing to the National Era.
