Quay was found not guilty after the jury delivered a verdict at 11 o eleven oclock this morning in Patwpenerata Pennsylvania. The jury reportedly stood eleven to one for acquittal before the verdict. An attempted demonstration followed the foreman's proclamation of the verdict.

Trustees of Northern Illinois Normal School in Sycamore vote to tender John W. Cook of Normal the presidency at a salary of 5000 dollars annually. He has ten days to decide. If accepted Dr. Charles McMurry would be his principal aide. Open date set for Oct 1 with 400 pupils expected.

On April 21 at the Brunet farm near Pana widow Anna Brunet 50 her alleged lover 21 and her son 19 were arrested for killing Jane Brunet of Danna Ind by shooting and dumping the body in a well. The victim had visited a sister in law about April 1 and was found missing with money valuables. Officials allege a life insurance murder of Anna Brunet's husband and claim Henry Brunet and Frank Sibley also killed widow Mary McIntire last February for robbery.
