Crevetano O April 8 reports a thousand carpenters walked out today and expect a large increase in numbers if employers do not concede demands for an eight hour day and thirty cents per hour. The stoppage signals broad labor action across the industry.

A cycling club dance, Lexington club party, and heavy April snowfall in Orrumwa ia conclude the items.
London reports from Macedonia that a probable conflict between Turkey and Bulgaria is near. Ottoman troops occupy troubled districts and act under the belief that Bulgarians back the rising, aided by Russian influence. The region remains effectively under siege as tensions rise.
