An overbearing ad praises Brandretics Pills as a cure all for aging and disease, claiming dramatic life extension and health benefits. It warns readers to avoid counterfeit mills and lists several regional agents with signed endorsements and dates, urging careful purchase nationwide.
A patient recalls a long, costly array of remedies including Phoenix Bitters, Life Pills, Brandreth's Pills, Phelps Arcanum, Mercury preparations, and Fowler's Solution, used while bedridden two years.
