Derringer Miners suspend work over Good Friday observation
Coxe Bros. & Co. miners at Derringer refused to work on Good Friday, with a majority of employers preferring holiday observance. The next shift on Saturday paused as workers were suspended until Tuesday and sent home to report tomorrow. If suspensions continue Wednesday, further trouble is seen.

Spotted With Telescopes At Wilkes Barre Collieries
Last week hills around the Woodward and Pettebone breakers of the Delaware Lackawanna and Western near Wilkes Barre bristled with telescopes. Committees of locked out union mine workers stationed at vantage points used glasses to identify non union men at work in engine fan and pump houses and at shaft heads. They now possess a list of these men for future reference.

Easter in Freeland Promenaders Troubled by Showers
Easter Sunday in Freeland opened with fair forenoon weather and pleasant afternoon. Toward evening dark clouds brought cold showers that marred the day. Church services drew unusually large crowds with special music and sermons engaging non-attenders.
Well Rendered Program at Grand Opera House
At the Grand Opera house last evening the Good Wills Athletic Association presented a well rendered program. St. Ann's band opened, followed by an address by Charles Dever who outlined the club's history and aims. The Tribune published program was then performed amid hearty applause for each participant.
