The bank features a two-piece manganese steel safe from Hibbard Rodman Ely with twin clock locks, a Yale interior lock, and burglar fireproof design. Officers include President Amandus Oswald VP George C Christian and cashier F M Everett with Walter Davis as teller and Mrs. W J Butz as bookkeeper. The eight Democratic members of the borough council convened with President Moerschbacher as Republicans failed to split the caucus. Sweeney and Ripple were nominated for secretary with eight and four votes respectively. John Meehan won treasurer with twelve. Doggett beat McCole for street commissioner among Democratic votes. Charles ODonnell elected chief of police, and John J. McBrearty secured twelve votes for solicitor. Patrolmen Welsh and Molik and janitors Gallagher and O’Donnell were chosen. McLaughlin got electrician votes and Dover led as surveyor. The salary resolution kept last year’s level with a brief change for the police chief at 50 dollars monthly, later defeated. Bonds remained the same. session adjourned to Monday for bond inspection.
