The Wilkesbarre and Western Railroad was sold on Monday under foreclosure by Central Trust Company of New York trustee of $620,000 first mortgage bonds unpaid since 1895. The line runs 30 miles from Watsontown to Orangeville and has a capital stock of $620,000 with no dividends paid. The property, once part of Central Pennsylvania and Western, connected with the Philadelphia and Erie at Watsontown and with the Reading, Bloomsburg and Sullivan by ferry. the lone bid was $75,000.
