United Mine Workers and affiliated locals gathered in a 2200 strong march through Centre and surrounding streets led by Central Labor Council President Charles Jacquott. The parade ended at Grand Opera House with bands and multiple locals in orderly, flag bearing formation signaling renewed labor resolve amid regional job uncertainty.
After days of struggle a parade arrived at the opera house where Thomas Mailey of The Workers, a New York socialist paper, William A. Dettrey of Nuremberg, and George Strack of McAdoo spoke. The Tribune could not provide further details due to the late hour.
