Four Strikers Arrested in Drifton Riot Clash
Four men including ex-high constable John Shovlin and Jeddo striker John Schrader were arrested in Drifton by coal and iron police. They were jailed for riot and unlawful assembly after a tense morning as deputies faced Jeddo, Freeland, and Highland pickets guarding routes.
