Romulus Tax Rate Rise Impacts Three Townships
Romulus Central School District taxpayers face higher levies as the tax rate climbs from 2.21 to 3.77 due to Lehigh Valley Railroad property reductions, new school quarters, higher teacher salaries, maintenance costs, and a new bus. Trumansburg Voters Approve School Additions Plans
Voters in the Trumansburg Central School District approved two propositions for school additions on August 30. Proposition 1 raises 106 500 dollars with 306–35–5, Proposition 2 raises 221 515 dollars with 287–56–3. State Education Department approved the plans by the firm Fudge and Underhill. bids will be sought soon for fall construction, with completion set for fall 1966. State support at 79.6 percent reduces local tax impact.

Parking Lot Dedicated in Trumansburg After Three-Year Effort
Official dedication marks a milestone in a cooperative project to provide off street parking for Trumansburg’s shopping district. Merchants donated over 400000 and village and town crews cleared the site and prepared drainage and grading. Plans include two donated lights and further paving and landscaping to serve 50 to 60 cars.
