Ovid PTA Open House and Election Night Supper Plans
Ovid PTA held an open house after a business meeting where Mrs Barbara Westervelt reported on a New York conference. Plans were announced for an Election Night Supper on November 8 at Sheldon Hall with committee roles named and calendar reminders issued. Interlaken Yorkers Club to run a window washing drive on Tuesday November 1 from 3 p.m. Donations accepted.

At Interlaken annual congregational meeting on Oct 20 the Consistory elected William Pritchard elder and William Boyes and Carl Lincoln deacons. New Bridges Open At Sheldrake and Interlaken
INTERLAKEN The new bridge at Sheldrake opened to traffic on Friday Oct 21 replacing a structure torn down July 13. The Marble Bridge nickname stems from marble slabs installed by Darrich in 1884. Over time marble has eroded away. OVID Upstate New York Ariens Equipment dealers held their annual sales meeting in Rochester Oct 26 introducing the 1967 line to area dealers led by William Holtke. Interlaken Grangers announce a Booster Night this Saturday October 29 with a seven o clock dish to pass supper. Attendees should bring rolls and their own table service. A program will feature musical selections and slides from three exchange students detailing summer experiences. Everyone is welcome.

Ovid School Board Minutes Review Oct 19
The Ovid Board met on Wednesday Oct 19 with Mrs Moore presenting summer bus fleet work. General Fund bills 10810.94 and Lunch Fund bills 3550.52 were audited and paid. The board approved two bus pay systems and several staff appointments including Charlotte Lentz grade 2 Lillian O Connor teacher aid Peggy Powell cafeteria Stewart Cogan basketball coach and William Thomson assistant baseball coach. A resignation from Mrs Jane Cox teacher aid effective Oct 19 was received.
