Seneca Army Depot Girl Scout Troop Busy With Hikes and Training
Seneca Army Depot reports a busy period for Girl Scout Junior Troop 269 including outdoor cooking workshops at Camp Comstock and a hike at Camp Whistlewood on October 14–15. Four new members were invested on October 16, with bake sale plans for November 4 to aid Elmira Corning flood victims. The group includes multiple patrols and names such as Margaret Pierce and Laura Westerlund. In late October the 332d Ordnance Battalion from Watertown trained at the depot under MAJ Wagoner and MAJ Cooper with COL Avery observing, featuring depot tours, firefighting demos, and focus on ammunition, dining, and communications.
