Lodi Approves Preliminary Budget and Appointments
Lodi Town Board approved the preliminary budget for the coming year and transferred 800 from the contingent fund to the general fund. A resolution allowed borrowing 2000 on a tax anticipation note. Regular Republican election inspector Marjorie Smith and alternate Sally Wyckoff were appointed. Also noted was a Methodist Church Call to Prayer and Self-Denial observance led by Mrs. Lovina Van Vleet on October 20 with speakers and offerings for mission funds.

Twenty seven members attended the October 4 session of Lodi Grange No. 213. Elizabeth Orman led a literary program with readings, songs and a skit. Grace Williams of Ovid is in Geneva General Hospital for treatment. October 18 Booster night offers supper, fair and auction with ribbons for exhibits.
