Interlaken High School Principal G Douglas VanBenschoten announces two students John C Bassette and Ann D Elliott are Commended on the 1968 National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test placing among the top 2 percent nationwide. They join the 39 000 students nationwide in this cohort and will be reported to colleges and scholarship bodies for further consideration.
